At Cross & Crown we don't only believe that youth are the future of the Church, we believe they are the Church now! Read below about our different age-appropriate groups that help children and youth of all ages explore their faith and come to know Jesus.

Parents of babies and toddlers, Cross and Crown offers a faith-based curriculum for families with children under the age of 3. The newsletter is mailed directly to you with ideas to nurture faith development in young children. Christ Quest is our christian education program for children ages 2 through 4th grade. It uses a lectionary-based curriculum, where the bible story taught in class each Sunday matches what the children will learn more about during the worship service. Children are split into age appropriate groups and parents volunteer to help guide two of the three groups each week. Our Christ Quest year runs from the first Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday before Memorial Day.

RISE is the name for our senior high school youth group. We get together for a varitey of other social and service activities throughout the year. Our Youth Ministry exists to challenge high school students to be radically devoted to Jesus. And in their devotion, take their faith into the world, boldly sharing the Good News.

Check out the laminated cards in the sanctuary hymnal racks. You'll find a list of practical suggestions for parents with children newborn to 5 yrs old (blue) and 6 to 9 yrs old (pink). Consider it a survival kit for families before, during and after worship. Some of the ideas may surprise you - others simply reassure that you're on the right track. For the rest of the congregation - those who have survived or are still wondering - remember we're all in this together. Every thriving church family needs a full stock of bold, enthusiastic young voices coming to worship... for of such is the kingdom of heaven!

Our church has a fully staffed nursery available for parents of infants and toddlers (up through pre-K). Our goal is to provide a place where parents can leave their children during church events, allowing them to worship and learn with us knowing their child is in a safe place.

In the fall/winter/spring, our nursery attendant and volunteer assistants can be found in the nursery from 8:45 am until the end of the worship service (about 11:30). In the summer the nursery is staffed 9:15 to 10:30 am.
